Bénodet is probably the most well known coastal resort on the southern coast of Finistère. It is the centre of the Breton riviera. You can reach Bénodet on foot by taking the passenger ferry across the Odet between Sainte Marine and Bénodet. Discover this charming resort, a popular tourist attraction.
Bénodet is located 4 km from the campsite by road or 400 m if you take « Le Pussou », a small passenger ferry which goes back and forth between Sainte Marine and Bénodet harbour during the summer season.
Brimming with shops and restaurants, Bénodet has managed to preserve its outstanding environment whilst developing high standard infrastructures.
There is plenty to keep you busy in Bénodet: a spa centre, shops and restaurants as well as a casino, a multiplex cinema and marina.
Monday morning is market day and a pétanque tournament is organised every Tuesday.
Every Friday evening during « L'Été en Fête » (summer celebrations) traditional musiciens from all over the country and worldwide perform at the “Butte du Fort”. The atmosphere is fantastic. Sailing, kayak, golf, tennis, horse riding… Bénodet is a mecca for sports enthusaists of all ages.
Every year on 1st May, a regatta, “Obélix Trophy” takes place in the bay. The “Musée du Bord de Mer (seaside museum) offers a new exhibition every season, in addition to its permanent exhibition.
